My third graders live in a rural/low income area. My kids are faced with many challenges in life. I strive to make their time with me as educational and yet fun while learning and exploring our world.
My students are energetic, engaged, and ready to learn.
They come in my room and are ready to get the day started with enthusiasm. They love to read, learn and explore In ways that invite them to be engaged.
My students respond to praise and recognition. I focus on making sure my kids know that they are capable of anything. I want them to have a leadership mindset, they are leaders in our school. I want them to be in control and in charge of their learning. They have the potential to make a difference in their own lives by engaging in their learning. I want to make sure i give the them the tools necessary to be successful well beyond my classroom.
My Project
Having 4 Chromebooks in my classroom will allow for studetns to interact and learn through technology. We live in a tech world and our kids need to have access to technology in a learning aspect at a very young age. I will use chrombooks for students to have access to websites that allow them to practice their learning. They will be able to read books digital to help us build capacity in our reading library. Students will also have access to research and learn at thier speed.
Having chromebooks in my classroom will allow for my students to have access to Google classroom, where I can differentiate their learning to meet their needs.
Not all students learn at the same rate and time. This will allow me to push my studetns who are ready for the next level of learning while providing remediation for studetns who need that extra time and practice with a concept.
