I have a caseload of over twenty amazing 10th graders with special needs. We are an arts integrated school and my students benefit from activities outside the traditional paper/pencil tasks. They are an eager bunch of kids, just waiting for that spark to be lit.
My Project
Many of my students are performing three or more years below grade level in one or more areas. Many have not been successful with transferring their information to paper. These art supplies will allow my students to show their mastery through art. Many of my students struggle with the traditional way of learning and do so much better when they are allowed to do assignments geared towards their individual strengths. Learning shouldn’t be stressful, learning should be fun and magical. It’s time to step outside the box and expose my students to a more colorful and creative side to learning.
