My students need a listening center to complete our centers. We have books and CDs, but our CD player has decided to retire! We are thankful for old faithful's help thus far!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very special! I know that is said a lot, but they truly are. Each one has their own individual personality which really helps our classroom morale. I have some low socioeconomic students. Some go home and may not eat until the next day. I don't bring that up for sympathy, however, I bring it up because each day they come in with a positive attitude despite what they experience outside of school.
I teach at a Title 1 school located in Texas.
100 percent of my students receive free meals each day! I also have a few students with special needs. They add more personality to our classroom each day! I've lost some students from moving, yet still maintain communication with their parents. I love seeing how family oriented my students are. It makes our school family so tight.
My Project
My kids enjoy listening to reading! The listening center is easily the most popular center this year. This new CD player will allow my kids to continue their enjoyment of the listening center. Each book and CD will be played with this new CD player.
"Did you hear that?!" I definitely enjoy hearing my students yell that out (with headphones on).
Our listening center helps my students with decoding words and how to use expression when reading books aloud. Though they really enjoy my read alouds, I am sure they would prefer to listen to someone else once in awhile!
