This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title 1 school and most of my students are English Language Learners coming mainly from Spanish speaking homes. The students in my class are in need of language skills to help them become amazing students.I have been teaching for over 20 years but this is my first year to teach at my current school. My students have a bright future and I am excited to be able to teach my Pre-K students and make their school experience positive and productive.

My Project

My Pre-K students deserve to have a healthy and fresh classroom. I teach at a school which is beautiful and historic but has many issues with condensation. We have big problems with mold, mildew and humidity.

Many of my wonderful students have allergies and a few have asthma.

I think that if we had a Frididaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier it would make a huge difference in the learning environment in our classroom. Having clean air instead of the musty moldy air we currently have is the least we can give to our students and will do wonders for our health not to mention our daily attendance.
