Help me give my students the opportunity to get classroom essentials. The soap, wipes and tissues will help keep germs at bay, especially during this flu season. Keeping our desks and hands clean will help us stay healthy!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach children in a low-income and high poverty neighborhood in the inner city of Los Angeles. This is a Title I school, so 100% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Their economic standing has created many challenges, that is why I strive to give these children a loving and calm place to learn. I hope to be able to provide resources that would be otherwise unavailable to them and to set the highest expectations so they can flourish in their education and prosper in their lives.
My Project
All of our students want to have a welcoming place to learn. Sometimes, it's difficult to keep it clean when there is a lot to do in a day. Especially when you have many students in one classroom, germs and sickness soon follow. It is extremely important that we clean our desks and hands regularly to avoid any sickness.
Keeping the germs away will help kids be at school everyday.
We know how easily germs spread, so keeping our classroom clean will be the start of staying healthy. Our wipes will let us wipe our desks down every week and the soap will help keep our hands clean throughout the day.
In addition, our classroom is in need of scissors. We currently share and it delays our projects and math notes. Having enough scissors for everyone will help give everyone access.
