My students are English Language Learners from different parts of the world including Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and the United States. I am a ESL teacher and I co-teach with six mainstream teachers in first and second grade.
My students come with tenacity, creativity, and a wide variety of experiences and gifts.
We work hard every day as scholars, artists, critical thinkers, and friends.
At our school, 96% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 92% of the students are students of color. These students have the capacity to achieve greatness.
In this time of worldwide technology, quality printers are essential for learning. With this project, my English Learners will be able to learn and remember new vocabulary.
A wise person once said that "a picture is worth a thousand words."
I want my students to improve their academic skills and feel confident in an English-speaking world. This printer and ink cartridges will allow us to print pictures in color to use in our learning. This technology gives me and my students more flexibility to illustrate books related to our themes at a higher standard.
