My Project

Our social emotional learning program is Character Strong. Our Kindergartners are learning about being respectful and responsible. We are learning about gratitude, empathy, perseverance, honesty, cooperation, courage, and creativity. During some educational center time, a group of Kindergarten students were working together using an old STEM Lego set. I overheard them using their imagination and role-playing a family scenario complete with dialog and actions. They had made "people" out of the small bricks.

What could they do with bricks that actually look like diverse people, bricks to create a setting for their people and incorporate our Character Strong characteristics that we are learning each week?

Give us a chance to expand our character using the LEGO bricks to become better little people and even better big people.
