My students need Lice Good-Bye Kits. Lice treatment is expensive and most of our families are on a limited budget.

We are an innovation school. This means that our school has been given a chance to provide even more meaningful opportunities to the students in our boundaries. Students at my school receive free and reduced lunch. I am the school Social Worker.
I provide a variety of services to the students and families of our building.
I teach students about good hygiene practices. I talk with them about how to control and verbalize their emotions. I also work with students that struggle with social skills. Our school is also a Project Restore School. Each week students take academic tests that assess different skills. All assessments are cumulative and rigorous, which means skills can not be forgotten and are always practiced.
The Lice Good-Bye Kits will be extremely beneficial to our scholars and their parents. Most of the time our scholars contract lice and then it becomes an on-going battle to get rid of it. Lice treatment is extremely expensive so most of our families cannot continue to buy all of the products necessary to fully eliminate the lice and/or nits.
Getting rid of lice is an expensive and time-consuming process, but it is not impossible.
I spend a lot of time educating scholars and parents on the most effective ways to avoid lice, treat lice, and keep lice from spreading. After speaking with the parents and educating them on the most effective ways to get rid of lice, I would love to be able to give them a Lice Good-Bye Kit to get them started on their journey to a lice free life!
