Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My group of energetic preschoolers are ready to begin a life long journey with a love for learning that begins with their first school experience. That's what I have in my Expanded Transitional Kinder Program. They are always busy and enjoy learning and exploring.
Everyone on our ETK team wants to help build their self-confidence, provide opportunities that stimulate the brain, and prepare independent learners by the time they get to college!
Most of the families speak a language other than English, and all the students at our Title I school receive free breakfast and lunch. Each parent shares in the desire to have their children learn and grow in as many ways as possible. We are committed to education beginning with preschool.
My Project
Our classroom needs a Hoover-Smart Wash cleaner and cleaning solutions to keep our classroom carpet and area rugs free from germs.
My students love sitting on our large classroom carpet, which serves as meeting place for whole and small group instruction.
The issue is that our large classroom carpet is beginning to acquire a weird smell and lots of stains on it.
Throughout the school year many unexpected accidents happen, dirty little shoe soles walk through the room daily and that causes germs, germs and more germs.
Imagine how filthy a large classroom carpet must be after twenty-four 4 year olds walk through it on a daily basis. Never mind rainy days when their little shoes are wet and dirty. Although we spot clean on a weekly basis, it is still not sufficient.
Please help our classroom by providing us with a carpet cleaner and cleaning solutions. Your donation will help us learn in a germ free environment and most importantly help our attendance improve. No more germs equals less sick children and better attendance!
