Golf: Learn How To Drive The Ball

My students need a net and StepNGrip Board, to be able to work on their golf swing in the gym during our HS Golf Unit.

My Students

We are learning the golf swing mechanics in the gym. Dur to our shortened period, it is a time-saver to be able to work on our mechanics indoors, them transition to the golf course to actually play a hole or two each day after we have learned the basics.

Our students attend a public school in South Dakota.

The class is Advanced PE and is made up of seven students. We are in a rural area. Most of the students come from a ranch or farm background. We have a very nice 9-hole course in our town. By introducing the students to the basics of the game, we hope to spark an interest in continuing the game in their future.

My Project

Our time allotment is 45 minutes for our class. By the time we load up, travel to the golf course, hit a few balls, it is time to go back to school. Having the indoor nets will allow us to learn the swing basics in the gym. This will save us considerable time, and eliminate hitting range balls at the course. With the indoor swing practice, we will transition to the golf course and begin playing some of the holes.

Our golf unit is in the spring when the weather is not so dependable in our area.

Having this equipment, would allow us to be inside on days the weather is to cold or it is raining.
