Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the head golf coach at at my campus where we will be having our inaugural season this spring. We have gathered interest from students who have golfed in the past to those who have never swung a golf club.

In its history, the game of golf was only available to certain members of society.

My hopes are that with your help, we can help make this sport more accessible to those who would benefit most from it. We are hoping for either golf clubs, balls, tees to help us get into the swing of things!

To provide some context of our athletic program, Academy athletics is made up of two San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) schools that are co-located at the former McAteer campus: RAS of the Arts & The Academy - San Francisco. High school students made up from both schools combine and compete together across different sports.

I am asking for your help with equipment donations to help get our team set up for their first season and help build a lasting program for years to come.
