My Students

My students come to school eager to learn and expand their knowledge. They are kind, compassionate, and respectful students! Despite the many challenges they face, they surprise me with their determination and brilliance every day. Our community focuses on character development and values education. The parents of my students are supportive and want to see their child succeed.

However, being a Title I school, there are many families who are not able to help contribute to the costs of some of our events.

I would love to give them as many resources as I can to further their education. They aim to please and come to school ready to learn and to try their best every day!

My Project

There is limited funding for field trips and outside experiences for my students. Many of our students have not had the opportunity to explore the world outside of their community. When students explore their greater world they build background knowledge that supports them in all content areas. This particular trip will bring history vividly alive and help them to comprehend the Gold Rush in a unique way. It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to have hands-on experiences that connect with Gold Rush history.

The students have fundraised to the best of their ability.

Parents have been generous and helped contribute as much as they can. Our students are so deserving of being able to go on a field trip. They get one field trip for the year and this one is aligned with grade level content as well as incredibly memorable.
