It has been very challenging to create lessons that are still fun and engaging due to the COVID-19 school closure. I have worked around the clock looking for resources and creating ways to offer my students a fun, and engaging experience in the digital world. I want to create a care package for each of my students to drop off at their homes. I want my package to include basic school supplies, art activities, books, science activities, manipulatives, snacks ... and of course, lots of love. I also need a small whiteboard, dry-erase markers, chart paper, and other tools to use at home for teaching.
I miss my students so much, and am truly saddened that our school year will be ending this way.
My Project
I plan to make care packages for each student in my class to deliver to their homes. In these care packages I want to include materials that we will discuss for the remainder of the school year. I would also like to include some fun items and some snacks. I want them to know how much I love them and I want them to have materials at home to make learning more fun and engaging. The books will help cover the topics we are discussing in science, while the learn to draw books and sketch pads will provide them with art in the remote learning environment.
