Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, they come to school with smiles on their faces and are eager to learn.
I create and maintain a positive, safe and fun learning environment for my students, in which they can grow, work and learn together.
I am asking for funding for supplies that will help my students achieve academic excellence throughout the school year.
My Project
I am asking for pencils, crayons, markers, paper, books, dry erase markers and other basic supplies for my students to use at home during the COVID-19 school closure.
Many of my students rely on school for school supplies and other resources needed to learn.
These supplies will help them read, spell, write, count, add, subtract and create while learning at home. My students will become better in all academic areas by having these supplies easily accessible to them during this time. The supplies will help my students from falling behind during the COVID -19 school closures.
