This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my class are so thoughtful and kind. They have the biggest hearts and have a special place in their heart for literature. There are days we have to momentarily postpone reading our novel, and they get very anxious waiting. It is such a wonderful feeling to see and know our students love literature! It is my goal to have them enjoy reading and not feel like it is a chore. Reading should be for enjoyment, even when it's for learning.

My Project

This will help students learn more about informational text with kid-loving topics that will keep their attention and enjoy reading in color. Magazines give students an opportunity to enjoy a different type of text. They can bring these home to read with their families. This will provide bonding and academic-rich discussions. This will make a difference in students’ learning by giving them colorful photos to help them understand. My students deserve a color copy of a magazine as I have to make copies on black and white now. Im asking for a small donation to make a HUGE difference in the life of at-risk children.
