Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 4th grade in an inner city public school that supports low-income families. Many families live in a poverty-stricken and polluted environment. This activity will educate students about clean environment, recycling, and energy conservation.

This year we commence a brand new theme, Going Green! We do not have the funds to provide students with hands-on experiments which provide students with authentic and memorable experiences.

The clock potato resource will provide students with the hands-on experience that they deserve. Through small group interaction, students will collaborate to create a functioning potato clock in order to study the power of natural resources and energy conservation.

Your generous donation will provide students with a memorable experience that they can take with them throughout their lives. By enriching their learning, we can help to slow down Global Warming effects and provide a healthier living environment for the children of the future.
