My Students

Do you remember what you learned in second grade? I want my students to go green (screen) and have a recorded memory of their time spent in second grade.

My students attend school in a rural, low income Title I school.

They love taking pictures of themselves and working with technology. They are an energetic, fun loving group of kids who would love nothing more than to share their experiences with the world.

My Project

I plan on using the Flip Video camera, along with Pinnacle Studio (which uses a green screen), to make movies in our classroom. The students will be involved in all aspects of the movie making process - writing scripts and planning the movies that we make, so it will involve many important academic skills. The students will also be able to record events, such as our One Hundred Day Style Show, Tribute to Dr. Seuss, and visits from special readers.

Acquiring 21st Century skills is going to be important for students to succeed.

I feel I will be able to give my students important life skills and lasting memories through making classroom movies.
