My students need 4 refurbished iPad Mini Tablets in order to help us implement Google Classroom.

My students come with various social and academic needs. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My focus is to produce future leaders who will move our community forward in a positive way.
I work with some of the most enthusiastic and caring kids/families around!
My building serves students in grades K-8. We have a very dedicated staff of educators who work tirelessly to create a positive learning environment for our children.
In a world where technology is a huge part of our society I want my students to be exposed and integrated to the different technology that is offered for their future, and that process needs to start in Kindergarten.
According to the 2012 Pew Report “Digital Differences,” only 62% of people in households making less than $30,000 a year used the internet, while in those making $50,000-74,999 that percentage jumped to 90.
My students come from low income families, which means their technology use in limited outside of school and subjected to a 30 minutes in the computer lab throughout our school day. We need more time.
Google classroom will allow my students to use technology to study key concepts. Instead of students working on a worksheet, they can do their lessons within Google Classroom, and we can interact with each other.
By acquiring these four iPad Mini tablets, I can implement Google Classroom into my classroom through center time, and help differentiate lessons with my students. With these tablets my students can also download apps to assist in their learning, which will in turn help them succeed better on the state test at the end of the year. We would greatly appreciate your support.
