Here at OSUE we are a school family. Our school has a wide variety of students, and each and every one of them is special in a certain way. We have readers, we have mathematicians, and we have scientists. We are inclusive. We support each other. We spread kindness.
Our school motto is "A positive, respectful learning community where we care, strive, learn and grow." Our students do exactly that!
Our class has many students with special needs, as well as several gifted students. Together, we are a family fostering respect and understanding towards one another.
My Project
Our school uses a program that can instruct students on their own academic level. This program individualizes instruction for each student. A new tablet would allow many more students, per day, to work on their individualized instruction, as well as work on research and writing projects that support ELA and reading standards. Apps can be used daily to practice skills that they may to succeed!
My students will be expected to use, understand, and manipulate technology once they have graduated.
In a time and place where daily life is run by technology, some students are at a disadvantage. I want my students to have every opportunity possible to work with technology in my classroom.
