Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students love learning new information and skills. They are eager to come to school each day with a smile of their faces. They enjoy having opportunites to share their knowledge and newly aquired skills with others.
My school is Title I, which means that most of the student population is considered economically disadvantaged.
Our students face many challenges. However, we are committed to making sure that every student has the resources needed to be successful at school and home.
My Project
The students in our school are avidly reading series books, including the 39 Clues, Geronimo Stilton, and Origami Yoda. In some cases our library is missing titles from a series and in others the students have finished one series and want to start the subsequent series. This project will fill those gaps in our library collection.
Please help us give the students at our school the books they are eager to read.
It is our goal to grow lifelong readers and providing students with these books will be a building block to making that happen. These books will be placed in our Library Media Center collection that are made available to the entire school population.
