Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a Title I, low Income (97.6 free/reduced-price lunch), International Spanish academy and AVID School. The students at our school come from mostly international families that do not speak English.
The middle and end of this school year has been far from what we expected and from what any child should have to go through.
My Project
Going back to school in August will be difficult and weird and exciting all at once. These children walked out of school on a regular Friday to not step back into school for weeks (and perhaps not again till August as it is looking).
I am looking to give them some motivation, with motivational posters.
A fun, exciting looking classroom with fun window clings. Incentives and just exciting stuff to have ready for them as they walk through the door to take away that fear and anxiousness that they may have.
