This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Goethe STEM News Group (GSNG) endorses professional fields of work in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). GSNG reports on the most accurate, real-time, and science-based information for the school community it serves.

GSNG at the moment is represented by eighth grade students, school faculty, and community members.

We are in the beginning process of training students in grades 5-8 in school news production. Our mission is: with integrity, Goethe STEM News Group is devoted to increasing awareness and promoting academic excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is our goal to report on scientific attitudes, innovation, and science-based opportunities, while being accurate, thorough and an interesting source of school news.

My Project

I am requesting 1 high resolution printer that they can print high quality copies of their science-based school newspaper. GSNG's students will use their high resolution printer to make copies of their school publication, to be shared with their local community members. GSNG's students, responsible for public relations and advertisement, will use their high resolution copies to promote their school publication. Our PR and advertising students hope to gain the attention of community stakeholders that can possibly contribute to the growth and development of Goethe School’s science programs serving grades Pre-K to eighth.

Our high resolution printer will aid GSNG students in the production and distribution of their school newspaper publication.

Having the experience to participate on GSNG’s PR and advertisement teams will help develop students into well-rounded citizens scientists, using professional technologies that are used by actual STEM professionals.
