My Students

Our students are respectful, responsible, on-task winners!

I am so excited to continue the year in new and exciting ways that are safe for students and teachers.

All students are different and the teachers and I work hard to meet the needs of every learner in our building. We are striving to support independent learners and thinkers.

We are a Title I school and have a high population of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

Literacy skills are incredibly important in the lives of our students. We just completed a two-year training on best practices in literacy for our elementary schools. It is important for students to have a strong foundation in reading. One of the best ways to promote reading is to give students books to read at home with their families or caregivers and to give students an opportunity to choose books they would like to read.

Our goal is to promote excitement for reading in each of the 600 students in our school with this Bookworm Vending Machine.

With your help, our school will be able to fill this machine with a wide variety of books, promoting reading at school and home, as well as a new excitement for books. It will be filled with books for all students in our building from Pre-K to 3rd.

Our school buildings use PBIS systems to promote a positive learning environment for all students. Our students would love to earn books with this Bookworm Vending Machine to take home in their hands.
