My students need the Go-Pros to enhance students learning specifically for our first project of recording and documenting weathering and erosion in our local area.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are hungry to take their learning to the next level. Computers no longer quench their thirst in the academic learning environment. Please help me feed their education!
My students, who are vibrant, energetic, and love learning, attend a Title 1 Priority school.
They are demographically and economically disadvantaged. More than 90% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My school is a STEAM school focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Applied Arts, and Mathematics. Our lessons are focused around integrating those aspects into each lesson.
My Project
The resources I am requesting for my students would help them become higher level thinkers and learners in the 21st century. The students will use the Go-Pros on their first Problem Based Learning (PBL) experience and will continue to use them for future PBL's and other activities. They will encourage a classroom community since students will be sharing the items. The Go-Pros will be used across curriculum within math, english, and history integration. We will continue the use the Go-Pro for other real-world learning experiences. For example, the students really enjoy watching Virginia Trekkers and would like to put their own video's together to post on our school web page.
