My Students
I have some of the hardest working third graders. They live in a very rough neighborhood on the east side of Indianapolis, but they do not let that get in the way of their education. My students have a desire to learn and do not let the distractions of their home lives get in the way of that.
Our school strives to push students to their full potential with a special focus on reading and math.
We are a Title I School with limited resources; yet, our students strive to be the absolute best. Last school year, we far exceeded most schools in the district. It was the best year our school has ever had! This was achieved through hard work from both teachers and students.
My Project
The GoPro will be used often in our classroom. It can be attached to anything. It records from the perspective of the object or person it is attached to. There are uses for this kind of technology from science, math, and writing, to social awareness aspects. It can even be used to flip the classroom so that the children can see a lesson at home on Youtube before trying the lesson at school! The possibilities are endless when this technology in a child's hand.
Your donation to our project will provide students with hands-on technological experiences that they may not have access to outside of school.
These experiences will help establish a foundation for further exploration and provide students with a working knowledge that can be applied in future endeavors.
