My Students

We have declining enrollment and new technology is not funded. This leaves grant writing and donors choose to update our technology needs.

We have a high enrollment of socioeconomic disadvantaged students and EL students.Only 25% of our Hispanic population met standards in ELA and 27% of our socioeconomic learners met standards in Math .

Our students are determined and enthusiastic about learning, they use their free time during snack and lunch to get assignments and projects completed.

This data shows we need to provide quality instructional practices and interventions . Chrome books will help with these interventions.

Often these students do not have use of computers at home and need to complete their homework at school. Currently we do not have enough desktop computers to fit that need. The community has helped some, but we need more help.

My Project

These chrome books will allow the students to have more access to current technology which will lead to a higher completion of homework and projects. Many times the students are in the library and have to wait to be able to use the computer. Sometimes the bell rings for classes to start and they have not been able to use a computer.

A lot of our students do not have access to technology at home and come to the library to do their assignments. Many times the library is full with students using the tabletop computers and this will allow them to sit at a table and do their work.
