My Students

My classroom can be described in many ways but the first word that comes to mind is energy! We are constantly moving, math talking, working collaboratively and engaged. Fun and focused is how we roll! My students come from diverse back grounds. We are in a large districe but still hold onto the small town feel when it comes to community support and building strong relationships between parents, teachers and students.

In our town, everyone is a Bronco!

No matter which elementary, intermediate or middle school a student attends, they are all on the same team. I believe that commitment to unity within our district gives our students that extra support of knowing they belong here and they are a part of something bigger than themselves.

My Project

Through the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) training, I will experience first-hand what a successful transition program looks like! From the initial student orientation all the way to implementing a successful year-long student-to-student mentor program, I will learn the ins and outs of how to lead our school's leaders.

Our group of student mentors will have an impact on the culture of the entire school!

Through the mentor program, I will help them to maximize their leadership potential through hands-on opportunities and experiences. In addition to mentoring their peers, students will participate in service learning projects and truly embody our school's moto: "1440: No Limit To the Difference You Can Make!".
