This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Words are fun right? I would like to share the fun of learning new words with my students. All students like competition, and Bananagrams is a great way to incorporate words, learning, and competition.

My students are Freshman and Sophomores in an inner-city school in Stockton, CA.

They are teenagers who love competition. I found that anytime I add a bit of competition to a lesson, they are all very eager to participate! To them competition makes learning fun.

My Project

We need eight sets of Bananagrams so students can play in groups of 4. This is a great way to get students interested in vocabulary. Bananagrams is fun, quick and easy to play. It makes learning new words fun! Students will want to learn words so they can quickly beat their friends in a friendly game of Bananagrams.

This is important to me because I want my students to be introduced to vocabulary that will be useful to them in their future.

Being able to effectively communicate with others is an important component of their future. Expanding their vocabulary is a must!
