Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from low-income families, and we are a Title I school. Most of my students come to me with limited or no English skills; by the end of the year, they thrive. Despite the challenges my students may face, they exceed any expectation that is set for them. Over the course of the school year, they have become a family and cheer each other on in the classroom. Seeing their faces light up when they see success simply makes my day.
My Project
Learning at home is a new process for many of us given that we have a pandemic going on. I want to give my students a chance to have some fun while learning at home.
What could possibly be more fun than having a glow party at home to kick off the school year.
With Lumistick glow glasses and the ability to have a glow in the party learning experience, my students will surely have a great time learning this year. In addition, the selfie light will give me the chance to have better lighting quality for teaching virtually.
