Help me give my students a crystal growing kit to recognize physical change. We will also have a glow in the dark math day and use our other materials to review math skills.
My classroom is made up of 19 amazing children who come from a very diverse background. I have 3 inclusion students who receive instructional support from our incredible EC staff. My students follow our one class rule; Be Your Best. We work together to make every day our best day of learning, growing and being a team.
My Project
We will have a glow in the dark day using black lights and glow in the dark tape to designate learning areas where students will review specific math skills. The blocks will be used for addition/subtraction and multiplication/division, yoga balls are to sit on!
During our unit on states of matter and how matter changes, we will grow crystals in order to show a physical change.
The crystal kit will give us the opportunity to explore a specific state of matter and then observe the actual physical changes as they occur.
