Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a third grade teacher to 24 kind, respectful and thoughtful students. Each day, we try to make the most of every minute we spend together. Together, we learn how to celebrate our successes and learn from our failures.
My students are simply amazing.
They deserve my best every single day and that is what I strive to give them. I want our classroom to be a safe place where they feel comfortable to speak their minds, defend their thoughts and take risks.
My Project
When students are presented with rigorous content in an engaging and exciting way, it becomes a unique and powerful learning experience. I have recently completed a bakery themed room transformation in my classroom, and the results were incredible! I was amazed at the effort students put into their work, simply because they were completely engaged. They worked harder than they ever have, cheered on their classmates and had so much fun!
I want to create an experience that my students will never forget!
The materials I have asked for will be used to create a unique and engaging experience for my third graders...the GLOW GAMES! I will use the paper and lights to create a room transformation that my students will remember forever! They will use the highlighters, and glasses to get their NEON read on! The games will be used to create centers where students review and practice what they have learned while celebrating their success in an unforgettable way!
