I am a teacher of 6th-8th grade students. All of my students are diverse learners. They have special needs ranging from mild learning disabilities to social/emotional difficulties. I teach math and science. My kids are from a working class, low-income area. We are a very family-oriented school and have great family involvement.
We can grow in our learning if we just have our needs met.
Any extra materials or technology received by my class offers the students a more enriching education.
For this project I am requesting needed winter gloves for my neediest students. Living in Chicago brings many cold days during the winter. Gloves for your hands are one of things we need for keeping warm here.
Several families cannot afford needed winter clothing for their children.
It is through grants like this that I help insure my students are not a child who has to do without this winter. Warmth is essential in Chicago and I hope to have gloves to bring this feeling to our neediest students. Please help me bring huge smiles to my students faces soon.
