Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The more that you read, the more you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. This project will allow my students to explore various places and events through reading while increasing their knowledge of the world.

My school is comprised of young global citizens who are open-minded, respectful and show integrity.

They come from various backgrounds but have a common desire for greatness. Our goal is to help these students find and develop their love for learning in order to better prepare them for the next stages of their lives academically and personally.

My Project

My students need subscriptions to Scholastic News, DynaMath, and Science Spin to increase their love for reading, math, and current events. The Scholastic DynaMath Magazines will be used to integrate math and reading. This will be helpful for all of my students who love to read, but don't have the same passion for math. The Scholastic Weekly News will be one of the sources students may use to complete their current event assignments.

I love teaching and being an inspiration to my students while seeing them grow throughout the school year.

The Scholastic project will improve my classroom by giving my students more literature to read. An increase in literature will improve their vocabulary, knowledge and view of the world. Both subscriptions will change my students' lives by allowing them to grow as readers and to see the connection between school and the real world.
