Help me give my students Hand2Mind Versa Tiles Math Classroom Set which will allow my students to individually stay engaged in STEAM inquiry with an emphasis on higher level Math problems and skills.
My students are eager to learn and gain as much as they can from the world around them. These enthusiastic learners can see and learn about our world from a different perspective while working individually and yet parallel to many others from many cultures.
It is my goal to give my students enriching opportunities to experience as many higher level learning moments as possible within our school and to allow them the opportunities to take their learning further by making connections with high expectations for them to continue to think critically within the classroom.
My school is a STEM certified school with the majority of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. About 37% of our students are ESOL (English as a Second Language) coming from many different countries where English in the home is a second language being learned here at school. They are curious and creative with a variety of learning abilities; from learning disabled, hearing impaired, speech disabilities, and below grade level to above grade level abilities including those in line for the Gifted and Talented programs. The children are thrilled to explore the STEAM challenges presented to them in all subject areas.

The Hand2Mind Versa Tiles Classroom kit will allow my students to engage in the "M" of STEAM inquiry and problem solving to transfer their mathematical knowledge in additional STEAM project based learning experiences.
My students love it when they are challenged with high expectations and are given opportunities to stretch their thinking in Math.
Working on Math skills that are easily able to be assessed by self checking will give them responsibility for their own inquiry and self evaluation as to the correctness or incorrectness of a solution.
As a STEAM school, my students are learning to make a design, build, and redesign their idea if necessary to improve their project outcome. Your donation will give my students an opportunity to better enhance their ability to take responsibility in their mathematical and problem solving thinking.
There are many times my students work in cooperative group settings. However, there are times they need to evaluate individually their own thinking and learning. The Hand2Mind Versa Tiles will promote independent responsibility to meet the understanding of Math skills they are being challenged to own for themselves and allow for our Career Ready standards to encourage self evaluation and critical thinking.
