My Students

My students are a fantastic bunch of rising 5th graders! Each student has his/her own unique learning style, requiring a variety of differentiated strategies to help them succeed. The diverse population of our school has about 75% free and reduced lunch.

One thing my students love is being able to choose where they sit and what seating option helps them learn best.

I have seen a direct impact on student learning and behavior through the implementation of these useful tools. Please consider funding this unique and exciting opportunity for my students!

My Project

Implementing the use of student choice with flexible seating has improved student learning and behavior tremendously! Allowing students the option to choose what seating best fits their learning style is also a great motivational tool to get them excited about school.

On a survey given at the end of last school year, students requested that we add wobble stools to the flexible seating options next school year.

The use of wobble stools can help improve student posture, but more importantly improves their focus by providing them with continuous movement that allows the right side of their brain to relax and learn.
