Giving My Students the BEST and Most Productive Learning Environment
Help me give my students stools, headphones, file holders and other materials for the best learning atmosphere and experience. These supplies will help the students learn organization and study skills and succeed in first grade!
Most of the students that will be in my classroom come from homes that struggle financially on a daily basis. Parents work multiple jobs just to make ends meet and to provide the basic necessities for their children.
While the children come from struggling homes, or homes that may not be in the best environment, I want to provide a safe comfortable learning space for the students.
I want the students to feel welcomed and excited to come to school every day. The children should feel as if the classroom is their space, and I want to instill a sense of pride and belonging in them and make sure that they are able to be actively involved in their classroom and learning.
I believe giving students a sense of ownership, organization and responsibility will help them become lifelong learners!
My Project
The items I am requesting will help my students have the best learning environment possible. Many of my students come from struggling families where they may not have the most comfortable and enjoyable personal spaces.
I want to make my classroom comfortable and organized so that students can take pride in their classroom and look forward to coming to school to enjoy their space and THEIR classroom every day.
I want students to feel that they are welcomed and that their needs are put first in regards to how they learn.
Not all students learn in the same way. Not all students can sit and be comfortable and focused at a traditional desk. Not all students can absorb information just by reading and writing. Students need hands-on interactive play and experiences, and I tend to give my students all of the opportunities to succeed that I can while they are MY children.
