My students need a hardcover book for every classroom, written by our visiting author Kate Klise, so that they can prepare for her visit to our school, plus have a great book to enjoy for many years to come.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of our students may not own a book. We want to expose the students not only to many different stories but also books that our visiting author has written.
We have a diverse population of students attending our school many are just learning to speak English.
We want to instill both enthusiasm and a desire to learn and participate in our school environment. Exposing them to interesting, wonderful stories will instill in them an excitement to read and learn the language. Also the author of these books will be visiting the school and talking to our students about the many books she has written. We are hoping the variety of books that we are requesting will expose them to the wonderful world of words.
My Project
We are requesting a wide variety of books by our visiting author, Kate Klise. Each of our classrooms will receive a grade appropriate book for their students. We are requesting the hardcover book that will give our students many years of enjoyment.
Books are such a great motivator and all students will benefit from this long term resource.
Students cannot help but get excited and stimulated by stories that they are exposed to during their formative years.
