Help me give my students the experience of hands-on learning. The Newton's laws and Snap circuits items will provide my students with a holistic STEM experience instead of merely lecturing them about it or watching videos.
I teach in single-gender classes. My students are energetic young individuals who strive to earn an excellent education to enroll in the universities of their choice. They are very supportive of each other's learning and love to work together to learn. Most of my student's (about 63%) come from low-income households, but that does not prevent them from coming to school every morning with a smile on their faces and ready to learn. My students make me feel honored and humbled by being extraordinary individuals and as a team.
My students like hands-on experiences and any activity that includes motion, collaboration, challenge, and competition.
My Project
In this project, my class is requesting magnets sets, Newton's laws sets, and Snap Circuits sets. All of these items will provide my student with real STEM examples that will enhance their learning while keeping them engaged and having fun all at the same time. I have noticed that collaborate learning is what they like and with these new items in the classroom, it will give them an opportunity to share and discuss knowledge just as they wish to learn!
