My Students

I teach a creative group of third grade students. We are a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. My students enjoy technology and opportunities to showcase their talents. They also are building leadership skills. All of my students have leadership roles within our classroom and many have been hired for leadership roles throughout our school. They enjoy working in cooperative groups that teach them learning skills that they can carry with them and use in the future. We are looking forward to a fabulous year together.

My Project

Many of my students do not have their own device to bring to school. I try to incorporate lessons using technology daily, but it is hard for everyone to participate if they do not have their own device. When we have large groups sharing, many students get left out! Students will use the Chromebooks to research topics, create presentations to share with the class, as well as take quizzes through an app called Nearpod. Sometimes the mouse pad is difficult to use so we are asking for a mouse to help out with that. As our world continues to grow in technology, I want my students to be well prepared!
