This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

What I love about my students is how they keep us on our feet. My preschool classroom services students with Individual Education Plans. We have 12 unique, curious, and talented kids. Needless to say, it’s never a dull moment in our classroom.

Our students have a lot of sensory needs that I know the mats and stepping cones would help.

We created a calming area in our classroom that allows our students to take a break. Having a couch in that area would provide a sense of home which would help calm the students when they are having a hard day.
