My students need cases and screen protectors for iPads that were donated to our school. This allows students to be more free with the use of the iPads without fear of breaking them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! Our school is in a low social-economic area and we were hit very hard by Hurricane Harvey. Our school was extensively damaged and the apartments that surround the school were also. Many of my students were displaced and we were serving the students in two separate schools. We have now just returned to our home campus. We are still working to get back up and running. Despite the hardships they have gone through this year, my students have an amazing capacity to learn and to succeed.
My fear for my students is that they will suffer even more after the trauma of Hurricane Harvey due to a lack of resources.
I want my children to have an enriching and fulfilling educational experience despite displacement.
My Project
My school has been the recipient of funds for iPads for classroom use. However, they come without cases and screen protectors. As many of you know, fifth graders are enthusiastic learners, but not the most careful of caretakers. Accidents happen so easily, and I want these iPads to last for several years.
Having protection for our Technology will allow use to truly enjoy our learning.
Being able to access programs and applications without worry of breaking the equipment allows them to truly appreciate the technology. With cases and screen protectors, my students will be able to use the iPads and technology for years to come.
