Help me give my students a voice! I encourage a lot of academic discussion in the classroom, so I would love a Qball microphone to encourage participation but also help with voice projection.
My classroom is a very diverse place. I have students of many different ethnicities, socio-economic statuses, and who have different interests. We love learning about each other and creating a community of active learners. I absolutely love being their teacher!
Occasionally some of my students are wiggle worms!
They enjoy moving around the room, working in groups, working on the floor, and using alternate seating. They enjoy anything that gets them out of their seats moving.
Like me, my students are intrinsically motivated to use technology. Because of this, I strive to incorporate meaningful technological experiences. I am fortunate to be at a school that encourages the use of technology and supports us in incorporating computer science into our curriculum.
My Project
I teach many english language learners. Because of this, I encourage a lot of classroom discussion. My 2nd graders are great at sharing, but sometimes their voices are too small. That's where the Qball microphone comes in! I think the Qball microphone will help engage students in the discussion while also increasing their volume level. The Qball microphone will also allow me to give students more ownership of the discussion, as I will not have to repeat student responses. I can take a step back from leading the conversation and act more as a guide. With the Qball, students will be able to speak and be heard. Then pass it on for students to add on to the conversation.
Who doesn't love playing catch?
Students will have the opportunity to get active and have their voices heard. I am excited to give them this opportunity. Thank you in advance for all of your help!
