Help me give my students the gift of time! All day long, schools are controlled by a rigid schedule. These clocks will help replace some of the older, failing systems that we have for staying on schedule.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a true "neighborhood" school. We are hidden within a small community and have been around for more than 50 years. Nearly 20 years ago, the school was torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. During all that time though our focus has never changed. Making sure that each of our students is the best person they can be.
We have recently lost our Title One federal status by less than 2% points.
This means we are still serving the same population of students but without the extra resources that we had before. As a result, our students are at more of a disadvantage than ever before.
Our building is close to 20 years old and some of our resources have begun to deteriorate. Your donation will help us get some of the equipment that we need to function better again.
My Project
The stated has always had rigid standards for the amount of time each subject must get. 90-minute reading blocks, 40 minutes for activity, 30 minutes for physical activity per day. Our school had a system in place for this for nearly 20 years, TVs with a clock pushed from a central location.
This project will help our students and teachers stay on time and in compliance with state laws.
Unfortunately, our TVs have begun to come to the end of their lifecycle. With the purchase of these clocks, our school will begin to replace our old and no longer accurate solutions for time.
Our goal for this project is to teach our students about time management. They will use the clocks in the rooms to learn to be on time, and at which time that one activity has to stop in order to give time to transition to the next activity. The students will learn to use their schedules efficiently, in order to maximize the amount of instructional time for each of the major subjects. Older students will have personal copies of their major blocks of time, while younger students will have it posted in a visible location.
