My students need organizational charts to provide stability and consistency in schedule and ease transitions.
For many students a successful behavior plan is a personal pocket calendar including the daily schedule or visual representation of the day plan. Wouldn't it be great if every student had this visual representation of what was going to occur next?!
My students are second graders!
They are learning how to be in the institution of school, strengthen peer relationships and learn, learn, learn! The last thing they need to focus on is anticipating what may come next. They respond well to consistency and structure, which are provided by the requested tools.
The literacy organizer will cut down on transitional time, empowering students to move quickly to their assigned station without teacher direction. Students may then work independently in their station. Students will see their daily assignment when they arrive, minimizing potential anxiety-causing anticipation. The math calendar will keep my students apprised on current information while providing pain-free math practice.
Help my students avoid anticipation, minimize transition time, work independently and maximize learning time by empowering them with tools they need to stay up-to-date and organized.
