Help me give my students a Microsoft Surface Pro to allow my students access to various apps that will enhance their overall speech therapy experience.

The students who I serve are children who have Autism and various speech and/or language delays or disorders, including some who are non-verbal and require one-to-one support and hand-over-hand re-directions. These students require a multi-sensory approach to learning. Therefore having a laptop that also functions as a tablet would facilitate both receptive and expressive language for these children that desperately need to be able to communicate. Additionally, my students live in poor social-economic neighborhoods and have limited resources, therefore affecting their exposure to new academic experiences. The students that I serve are highly motivated by technology, which they are not generally exposed to in their homes
My students are extremely motivated by technology and would benefit greatly from having access to technology and various applications to help them learn to communicate thoughts/ideas and wants/needs.
Having a Microsoft Surface Pro will allow my speech/language impaired students to access various apps to enhance their overall therapy experience.
It a lightweight option that can function as both a laptop and tablet. I serve nonverbal and severely speech impaired students who would benefit from this updated technology. A Microsoft Surface Pro will provide visual support and and hands-on access during therapy sessions. I also serve students who need hand over hand assistance and redirection so the use of the tablet/laptop function will also provide added benefits to them.
Technology is a resource that my students do not usually have access to at home. My school is a Title I school comprised primarily of students from low income homes. All students in our school are eligible for free and reduced lunch.
Donating to my project will help my speech language impaired students access to technology and apps that will greatly enhance their overall speech therapy experience.
