Help me give my students working headphones so that they can enjoy independent learning without disruptions and distractions from others!

My Project

Help our class bring back the enjoyment of independent learning! Semester 1 was pretty rough for us due to the lack of working headphones. And guess what? The situation is much worse because we now only have about 6 halfway working head sets for an entire class! Yikes!

Students really need working headphones when trying to engage in independent learning with the use of technology.

We are in a situation where students have to listen to each other’s computers while trying to focus on their targeted skills. Students often have different stories or digital texts assigned to them based on their reading levels. Imagine hearing multiple stories at once! The great thing about my students is that this doesn’t stop them from trying to complete their work and not get disengaged or distracted. They are tough and persevere through everything! I want to provide each student with their very own pair of working headphones. They have begged me for more and I want to deliver!

Additionally, I often conduct different kinds of academic scavenger hunts and small group work in a comfortable spot. I’ve really noticed how hard it is for my students to keep hold of a text book to write on while doing these types of activities. We really would love clipboards! My supply is extremely low. The dry erase markers are for our whiteboards when we do interactive carpet lessons or games. Thank you in advance for considering a donation to our class.
