Give My Students Amplified Voices and Beautiful Art Opportunities
Help me give my students opportunities to express themselves artistically both with their voices and paint. The microphones will help provide student ownership of work and the paints are needed for artistic projects in the classroom.
I am privileged to teach twenty-four awesome second graders who learn best through project-based learning. At our charter school, we embrace our school's mission "Engaged Learning Through the Arts." Learning the core subjects must be combined with active learning so these students will be successful community members in the future. They are curious about every subject and eager to learn when their learning is hands-on and allows them the opportunity to make investigations and learn in new and innovative ways.
I work to inspire students to challenge themselves academically while embracing their creativity.
They love challenges to solve with cooperative learning and always look for ways to support each other's learning process. Due to the creative nature of our school, students need the flexibility of arts-based learning.
My Project
Allowing student knowledge to be presented brings life to projects. This donation will provide microphones and accessories to student voices. Students will use them to present Reader's Theaters, stories, math, and writing. Through the development of public presenting, students will be encouraged to take pride in what they are creating.
In our arts-based school, students come with a variety of talents and abilities.
The paints will help all students to see the blank surface in front of them as having as much potential as they do. Students will use the paint supplies for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies content.
