Give Kinders a Big Seat at Perfectly-Sized Tables!
Help me give my students a seat at the table! A place that fits their little bodies. A spot where they will feel comfortable for all the big things they will learn.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Next year will be a different kind of year--at the beginning--, especially in Kindergarten. So many of the kids will not have had the opportunity to finish up their Pre-K experience.
My goal is to make all the kids feel loved, and heard and excited to learn!
The school where I teach has a diverse population. It is filled with children who come from homes filled with books to some homes that only have a few. Some kids know how to use the iPad and others have no wireless at home.
Together, as a class, we will make next school year one that is warm, and loving-where togetherness will build strong bonds and big brains.
My Project
One-size does not fit all when it comes to school furniture. Tables can be too big and not inviting or intimate enough. Kinders need to feel like they are a part of something! They need to learn how to share and get along and work together.
The tables I am requesting are perfectly designed for little bodies!
These Progression Tables have contours where little bodies can comfortably nestle in. I have seen them in classrooms and the kids fit together like puzzle pieces. I am requesting five, so all my kinders can benefit from their unique design.
Next year will start with unique challenges. I'd love to see my kids take a seat, feel comfortable, and work at a spot perfectly made for them!
