Help me give my students money manipulatives, learning games, and a classroom store to learn about financial literacy.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My urban ESL classroom is full of energetic, creative, and eager young children. My students are very diverse in their backgrounds and their learning styles as they come from countries around the world.
I teach at a low-income, high poverty school where 100% of the students get free lunches.
Our school also serves a free breakfast to all students and food is sent home over the weekends to help meet their needs. My goal, as their teacher, is to give them a learning environment where they are comfortable and feel inspired as they are growing and learning.
Donations to my classroom will make a tremendous difference in my students' lives. These young ESL students will be talking, planning, and improving their thinking and mathematical skills while collaborating on their learning.
My Project
My students need money manipulatives, coin stamps, games, and a classroom incentive store to learn about financial literacy. I want to teach my students the skills they need to develop a strong foundation for lifelong financial competence. I created this project because I want to help my students discover the relationships of earning to spending and saving. I strongly believe that in doing this, my students will begin to understand the value of money. Students will have the opportunity to learn about saving and spending money, among other important skills as they visit our classroom store to purchase their rewards and prizes.
