This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A lot of my students come from a low SEI area of Salinas. With a giant rush to shelter-in-place and my prediction we will continue distance learning for the fall, I wanted to create a project that will help them be successful in the upcoming academic year.

My students shouldn't be missing out on learning, simply because the world decided to go crazy on them.

The materials if funded would go entirely towards making sure that my students have the materials they need to be successful in these unprecedented times.

My Project

I teach in a low-income are and it's heartbreaking to see some of my students not coming to school with the most basic of things. I remember being that child that didn't have everything that I needed for school and honestly it got in the way of my learning sometimes.

If funded, my students will not have to worry about what they do or don't have when they get to school.

Their only focus when they come to school will be to learn and be heard. All of my students will be able to have the same thing, and be ready to tackle the challenges that face them ahead.
